NGM's March/April News

NGM Royal Academy

We thank God that NGM Royal Academy has been revived!!! After only having 20 something students by the end of the 2018 school year, there now are approximately 65 children attending the school.

Just this past Friday, NGM RA had it's end of Term 1 program. Of course it was exciting as the children completed the first term of the 2019 school year and were anticipating their month long break but it was also a bit emotional as we all knew and even addressed the fact that this would be the last time we would meet as a school on the current property. We thank God that the final payment was made for the land and so everything is settled now for NGM to hand over possession of the property to the neighbouring company by the end of April. Happy led the parents in a discussion concerning the next steps. We are trusting God that at least a block of classes will be built in time for term 2.

After the meeting, one parent phoned the head teacher, Mary (who is expecting a baby any day now - so please remember her in prayer), just to make sure the school will continue even in the midst of our ministry transition. He mentioned that since his children started going to the school their behaviour and language have changed - for the good. He realizes that the emphasis of NGM RA goes beyond the usual academics and focuses heavily on the whole being of the children in relation to their Creator, Saviour and Helper. He commented that it was good to hear his children talking about Jesus and His Word as well as praying every evening before they go to bed. May God be praised and many more enter His Kingdom!

Mary encouraged the same parent that although the mother to Jesus at the wedding in Cana didn't know how the wine issue would be resolved, she did know Who to turn to. In the same way we may not know how everything will come together in time for term 2, but we know Who to turn to. Jesus knows all things and will make ways where there seem to be impossibilities!

Because we want to see the school grow - both in quality and quantity - we are encouraging the parents to become more involved. This past term we had two fundraising events which helped bring in some extra funds to assist in meeting the needs of the school. These events included a bake sale and a career's day [by the (wonderful) way, one of the students from a family of another faith showed up on career day expressing his desire to be a pastor when he grows up!!! Yay God!!!] Families are also being encouraged to be involved at the new building site.

We would love to get you more involved as well too! It would be amazing for you to come for a visit and see what's happening with the school and help out as you are able/led/gifted. Whether for short term or long term your involvement in transforming the lives of the students would be an amazing gift to NGM and ultimately the Kingdom of God.

Back 2 School

We thank God for all the B2S students who have already actually started school (approximately 33 according to our records)! There are still others (approximately 21) yet to start (while uniforms and supplies are purchased school fees have not yet been paid). We thank God for His daily provision of food for the students. As well as for the provision of payments for the staff who help keep things going. We know He who began this work will be faithful to continue it until completion for His glory and the furtherance of His Kingdom.

Just as with the school and church, B2S will also need to move. Thankfully the schools the B2S students attend are closing this week for a months break which will enable us to find a place to rent, God willing by April, while we wait for dormitories to be built.

It may seem odd that we have waited until the "last minute" to prepare for our move - sometimes that's just how things work out this side. Please pray for intervention - that everything would come into alignment with God's plan for B2S and all aspects of NGM during this transitional time. Last night I noticed Happy reading from Isaiah 11. Please intercede on our behalf to keep in step with the Spirit of the Lord

the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord

that we may not make decisions based on what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears or think with our own understanding. But that in all things we would follow the path that He has directed us to follow (Isaiah 11:1-5, Proverbs 3:5-6).

B2S Alumni

Focusing in on ... Ernest C.

Ernest was born July 7th 1998 - the last of four brothers. He started Grade 1 in 2005 at the Presbyterian School in Ndola. Sadly in 2012 his mother passed away - she had been the one supporting him through school. He and his older brother worked hard to pay their own way through school 2013-2015. After completing Grade 9, Ernest, even as a believer in Christ, felt a bit discouraged since he didn't know how he would make it through secondary school. Then a member of Worship Palace shared with him about the B2S program with NGM. With new hope, Ernest felt this was an answer to prayer and joined B2S in February 2016. Just this past December he completed Grade 12.

Future Endeavors: His desire is to become an electrician so that one day he too can help people just as he was helped by NGM through you.

Favourite Verse: The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1) - This verse encourages Ernest because he knows that even if he gets "lost", the Good Shepherd will lead him back on the right path.

Favourite Song: Lesa Ekachema Wandi (The Lord is My Shepherd) By Recheal

Our Family

We thank God that we had the opportunity to go to Livingstone during the girls' midterm school break. It was the first time we had been on a "get-a-way" as a family for a couple of years - so it was a nice time of bonding and enjoying God's beautiful creation including Victoria Falls and some African wildlife!

Thank You!

We praise God for you! We are a team - the Body of Christ - working together so that many more may come into God's family.

Thank you for praying. We definitely need intercessors! Prayer changes things!!!

Please feel free to contact us (support@newgenmission.com) asking for specific and current prayer requests then share and agree with others in prayer for breakthrough! And please also be free to let us know how the Holy Spirit has led you to pray for us and the ministry. We love to hear from you!

Thank you for giving. Your gifts make a difference! Both in our lives and in the lives of many others!

Let us keep on keeping on in Jesus' Name - for if we do not give up, we shall reap a bountiful harvest for His glory and honour!

Be blessed and encouraged in the Lord. As mentioned above, we love to hear from you! We want to know how we can be praying for you as well!

All God's BEST to you and through you in Jesus' Name!

Love in Christ Jesus - the Name above every other name - the only Name under heaven by which we can be saved,

Happy, Evangeline, Caia and Maliaka for NGM
